Diwali- Festival of Lights! Is most celebrated festival in India, to be precise this festival is celebrated across the world wherever Hindu's are living.

Diwali is a highly religious festival as it is connected with many God.Mainly it is celebrated Lord Rama's return to his Kingdom.Lord Krishna's victory over Narakashur. Is also linked with Diwali. All depict one thing, the victory of Good over Bad.

Mostly everyone starts planning for Diwali in well advance so that they will not be running out of time during Diwali.

Diyas
Diyas
Pooja is one of an integral part of Diwali. Goddess of wealth, Goddess Lakshmi is most benevolent during Diwali that whoever worships her on this day she blesses them with prosperity and wealth. As mentioned earlier Lakshmi pooja carried out at every home to please Goddess Lakshmi.
If you know Krishna then you must know that he has lifted Mountain Govardhan to save the Gokulwasi fro Lord Indra's punishment. This is because instead of worshipping Lord Indra they have done pooja of Govardhan.

There are various types of toran people prepares or buys from a market, Diwali is the festival when people come out with their creativity to prepare different types of toran. To get the blessing of Goddess Lakshmi.

As many time said Diwali is the festivals of Lights, which means it is incomplete without Diyas. Everyone lights up diyas at doorsteps, inside and outside the home. Besides diyas people lights up Kandil.

Crackers

Deep-Rangoli

Most loving part of Diwali is crackers. If you burst crackers it will keep evil away from you. People burst crackers during night time to see the beauty of fireworks.

Above mentioned activities are associated with Diwali from its time of inception and it is default in our to-do list.

Apart from above-mentioned activities What other preparations one should do to make Diwali more meaningful? This question must arise in your mind. To make you worry free I had prepared a list which contains activities to do in Diwali 2016.

Are you ready to know about 9 things to be done in Diwali 2016?

1. Shopping with family
2. House Makeover
3. Sweet
5. Do charity
6. Buy gift
7. Paint house
8. Go watch movie name
9. Make greeting card

Now we will get into the details of the given list.

1. Shopping with family

Shopping yoohoo, everyone goes on their toes when they hear about shopping. Diwali is the best time to go shopping with a friend and loved one. The most company provide bonus during Diwali to their employee to support extra expenses occurring during Diwali. This bonus is given from a long time back but, now some company has discontinued given during Diwali time to cut the extra cost. Although people save a small amount every month so that till Diwali they get some handsome amount on hand to celebrate Diwali without even getting the bonus.

As Diwali is a most celebrated festival in India, all merchant comes with different strategic sale during Diwali to attract the customers. Online merchants like Amazon the great Indian festival 1st Oct to 5th Oct, Flipkart a big billion day 2nd Oct to 6th Oct, Snapdeal Unbox Zindagi, Homeshop18, Naaptol, Shopclues or Supermarkets like Big Bazaar abuse state din, D’Mart, Star Bazar, Spar , Reliance, etc come up with the various lucrative sale.

To take advantage of this time one has to prepare the list of equipment, things need to be purchased in advance. Then filter the site to get the lowest possible rates and buy. Here I have listed some offer for you to take most out of running a big online sale.

2. House Makeover.

As you know Diwali is associated with many God and Goddess and we worship them during Diwali to get their blessing. If you think that this can happen in normally then you maybe you are wrong. No one likes old-fashioned jewellery, cloth, shoes which also holds true for House. IF you keep your home old, messy, outdated design that no one would like to come to you and your home.

I know you can buy a new home every year and it does not means to do it.SO what to do?
You have to do a makeover of your house so that doesn't look outdated and does not spread negative energy. Sell old stuff to earn some money with the help of Quickr,

Use following tips to do a makeover of your home.
  • Take help of Home décor essentials to give new look to your home. Vases, Mirrors, Idols, candles etc.
  • You can use Indoor lights to make the home brighter.
  • Décor your wall with Modern art painting. Either you can do the painting by yourself or hire a professional. One of my friends has done wall painting at her house. I have included some photos for you.

Wall-Painting

3. Sweet & Farsan

In Diwali, we decorate our house, office and society. Another main activity is to prepare Sweet and farshan for Diwali. Various sweets like Penda, Kaju Katali, Barfi, Churma ke Laddo etc. and Farshan like Chevado, Cholafali, Mathiya (special Diwali farshan).
We serve this sweet and farshan when family and friends visit our home.

4. Family time

India we get a long holiday. People visit their hometown in this vacation In school one semester completes everyone feeling fresh.

It's a family time when everyone has a holiday at the office, study.  Make use of this opportunity and spend quality time with your family.

Plan a trip to some exotic places in India either Goa Beach, Kerela, Nainital, Kashmir, Mysore, Coorg etc.

5. Do charity

This is trending up as the year passes. We are lucky that we have family who cares for us and we can happily celebrate the festival of Diwali but there are few people in the world who are not lucky enough to celebrate the festival and not living a normal life.

These Diwali take let's do some charity. Wait a minute, it doesn't mean that charity will always link with money, not at all.

There are some people who don't seek money always, From our busy schedule, spending some time with people who need it like visiting an orphanage, old age home where some parents, children want to talk no one is there to listen.

Some student doesn't have money to afford tuition or even school. Let make a resolution to devote our time to give free education, any topic we have expertise.

If you have any other way to do charity let us know. :)

6. Buy gift

Diwali festival is to celebrate with friend, families. We do save money to celebrate this festival like the star. In our life, many persons helped us or done good things for us. Maybe they are our Parents, sibling, friends, neighbour, watchman etc.

These Diwali let's make special for them by gifting them a beautiful gift. They will definitely love this.

7. Paint house.

I have not discussed this Paint option in Makeover of the house because the paint has its own significance and altogether different activity.

We are living in the high competition era. Where every company comes up with different marketing tactics to attract the customer. It will be either giving a complete guide how to choose paint for your house? Or Sending a representative to your place for a demo. Asian Paints, Indigo Paints, Kansai Nerolac are various well-known brands associated with paint industries.

You can always take help of these professionals or local contractor to do this activity.

8. Go watch, Secret Superstar and Golmaal Again!

Diwali is the festival when each big banner is looking to release this movie. This Diwali 2 movies will be coming to theatre

This Diwali 2017, two blockbuster movies, one is Secret Superstar. In this movie, you will see Aamir Khan.

Rohit Shetty is coming up with another laughter riots with Golmaal Again. Don't miss these blockbuster movies.

9. Make a Greeting card

Gifting some expensive things to your loved one is a nice idea. If you look around everyone is busy on their mobile or laptop. In this virtual world, we forgot the power of greeting card.

What if you give him/her a Greeting card? And if you prepare a greeting card by yourself then give it to him/her? Sounds crazy? But believe me, he/she will surely like this idea.
If you write some lovely message in your word it will be the cherry on the cake.

Try to make greeting and surprise your dear ones.

In my next post, I will reveal a special gift to give or buy for yourself.

I have made this list for you. If you have any other activity in your mind do not hesitate to send me that idea or mention in the comment box.

Happy Diwali!!
